Jobs Bill? GOP Agenda is Attack on Women’s Well-Being

February 16, 2011

Since the Republicans took over the House of Representatives in the 2010 mid-term elections they have done nothing but attack Democrats and the President – expected. They have also engaged in aggressive cultural warfare – not surprising. What they have failed to do is what they said they would do while running for the Mid-term elections: address jobs creation. Instead, Republicans are ramping up on destroying Planned Parenthood, overturning abortion rights, defunding family planning, ending all Federal Funds for basic birth control, preventative care for STDs and breast care. They are also engaged in redefining rape — forcible rape versus some sort of consensual rape! This is an all out assault on womens health care and well-being.
