Move Up Factor – More Housing Starts in 2011

December 29, 2010

Household formation of doubled-up families will tend towards move outs to own or rent their own place and that will drive other buyers into the new housing market when jobs improve. Basically, housing will improve, when jobs improve. The move up factor will be in play. It doesn’t take a financial analyst to figure that out, but it helps when a respected financial analyst like, Chuck Lieberman of Advisors Capital Management, states we will see an improving trend in 2011.

Areas of Growth:

US Gypsum – USG — will show growth as housing returns
NVR Mortgage Finance – NVR — financing land deals now
Colonial Properties – REIT trust — rental properties
Sun Communities – SUI — is developing trailer homes for retirees.
